If you do become staff, I hope you can get along well with the rest of them, likely a good idea to resolve differences beforehand though.

As to your second point, the SR partner communities are around, as Roudy said, and they have been adding tags to the database too. The majority of reports still go directly to SR, likely because most of the submitters don't realize that the SR partners can handle those as well. Greater visibility on SR for those communities could help in redirecting some of the incoming reports for less of a backlog here.

Do you repcheck every trade you do? Have you ever traded with a scammer or their alts?

Don't worry people here is less likely to trade with scammers, including with HIJACKED ACCOUNTS, nor impersonate staff members from other communities.

I'm pretty sure he baited me into trading with one of his less-obvious alts.

https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198026761768 is a common friend with many of his known alts & similar name histories (talking about hacks).

Traded with me (paid full price for a CS:GO gun) and then insulted me, picture has details.

In retrospect, the account only has 4 hours of CS:GO & 100 hours of tf2. No tags or reports w/ only 2 marked friends, inventory looked like a legit player, he was buying not selling, and it wasn't a cash trade.

I don't think him buying my M4 for basically the best price that it can fetch is really "helping scammers profit."

I told him to trade with you because a good SteamRep mod wouldn't trade with someone with 4 hours in the game. I also told him to call you cancer because I hate you, but that isn't really relevant.

That kind of just contradicts yourself, you didn't ask your friend to trade with Salmon because you genuinely care if a good Steamrep mod would trade with someone with little hours, you asked your friend to trade with Salmon because you hate him and you wanted to put that on this thread as an attempt to ruin Salmon's chance as a mod.

Salmon seems like a good guy who is genuinely interested with stopping scammers. I don't know him well but I always see him trying to help in scam reports and when people have questions in the discussion forums

No, I traded with a normal-seeming user who offered 95% of market price and 98% of my asking price. It turns out that a very dumb scammer thought he could prove the "don't trade with scammer alts" rule wrong... by using a normal account to trade with someone who isn't even staff. He should've used an actually obvious alt, had the keys going in the other direction & half as many, and tried to trade with someone who held an actual rank.

I think the fact that a scammer hates me so fervently shows the impact I can have against them.
