Improper Format Scam report: Quasical Distopia #CASHING stole unusual

Hi, I was trading an unusual brown bomber for 120$.
This guy linked me this fake rep site http://forums (DOT) sourceop.co/threads/42599-Quasi-s-Rep-Thread/ and stole me my hat.

Looks like fake SOP link. If you change .co to .com it's a different post. Pretty sneaky. Unless the person decides the give the hat back SR can't do anything except mark them.

So I lost my hat forever? Why can't I have it back? What can I do now?

Please, I need that hat back. Can Valve do anything?

Valve cant (well more like wont) do anything as selling hats/items for cash isnt covered in their TOS, it is al at the risk of the buyers and sellers. If you submit a report to them you most likely wont get any form of help. im sorry to say that your hat is most likely gone forever seeing as how many alts this guy has.

Valve can't do anything? I saw users that got their items back. There is no chance of getting my hat back? Have I lost 132$?
This sucks.

if an account is compromised/hacked then items will usually be restored, but valve doesnt cover cash trades as it is outside their realm and is stated in their TOS. I havent heard of anyone getting their item back from a paypal/cash/other outside of steam deal.

Why is this marked as "Improper Format"?
