    I'm gonna sound like an idiot for asking about this, but is it possible to be sent malicious scripts if someone just adds you on Steam? I was just minding my own business when this guy added me and didn't respond.

    I'm not sure why he added me. Maybe to see how I react to him not responding, or maybe he did something else...should I be worried?

    No, it is not possible. The only 'malicious' scripts there are (and now fixed) were the selectAvatar ones, which, caused more confusion than damage.

    Steam is always being exploited, they are other incidents even one a few days ago, just not reported publicly, don't click links people give you unless you are sure of what it is and who is sending it or use an isolated web browser (not talking just about phishing attempts either)
