Was asked to provide fake +rep; is this reportable? If so, under what?

This occured early today, I'm wondering if action should be taken. If not, apologies, I'm new here.
Apparently he plans to scam someone, not sure if he was telling the truth about losing 2 Buds since he only has 250~ hours of TF2 under his belt.

As I understand it, providing FAKE REP is indeed reportable and it can result in serious consequences. There are a few recent extant cases of people receiving full SR Tags for faking their own REP.

In any case, irrespective of the above, it is important the community is aware of anyone who is actively trying to fake REP, since as you say it is usually indicate of some nasty.

Always put in a full ID block, a custom profile can be changed any second.

new scammers who try to accumulate fake rep has bigger plans in the short future, usually leads to a huge nasty scam in one day buying buds and asking traders with no rep to go first.
