    Appeal for BANNED BY SOP

    Steam profile: 76561198041089584 (ebolaids)

Appeal Plea: I committed some of the listed offenses, but not all of them
Appeal Reason: [Process] Mistake - Admin misunderstood evidence or made a mistake
Victim Repayment: Yes, I repaid the victims of my offense(s)
Previous Appeals: No, this is my first appeal here

    Alternate Accounts:
This was my original account. I have stopped using it since the creation of my other account except for using it as a "smerf" in dota 2 when playing with low level friends. I have only traded items from this account to my new account and have never used this account to scam or aid in any scams.

This is my secondary alt account, I used it for things such as tf2 additional item storage when I ran out of space on my main. That may or may not be frowned upon but I don't believe it to be a bannable offense, no scammed/allegedly scammed items have been stored on this account.

These accounts are listen under my steamrep profile as alternate accounts, which is false. Reasons below.

This is my friend Brandon. He has signed in to his account over my internet or on my computer on multiple occasions, he has since moved to Canada and if you are able to verify that somehow, please do. He will also need the banned tag removed from his name, even though he hasn't traded with anyone other then more or some other close friends before.

This is my brother. He is almost always on the same internet as me since we live together. But I have never used his account and he has never scammed.

This is my cousin. He has signed in on my computer when he visits, and when I visit him, I have signed in on his computer. Or when he brings a laptop, we are both on the same internet. He lives in California and that is where he is mostly logged in. He has never scammed and needs the tag removed as well.

The 3 accounts above need to be removed as alternate accounts as well.

    Appeal description:
I have the reason listed as an Admin misunderstanding evidence but the whole thing was very confusing. If I need to change it, please tell me. I also said I committed some of the listen offenses because I did file a paypal chargeback, even though I did not scam the victim.

Here is where this gets a little complicated.

    This is the victim.

Take note that the victim has the tag of 'SOP CAUTION' because of him not upholding his part of our trade.

I am being accused of a paypal chargeback and that is 100% true. The reason for being banned however is false.

    Argument:

Victor Martelle (The Victim) had place on SOP that he was selling his backpack and all its entirety for $120. I argued this price down to $110. I payed first seeing as he had more rep then me, then he gave me the items in 100 item increments. You can validate this here:

    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198041089584-sniper-carl.10849/

A direct quote from his appeal:
"I was having an auction-type thread, he quickly commented along with others that he would give me $110. He went first, paid, and I gave him the items in 100 amount increments because trade was extremely buggy. Then I got a message from paypal saying he charged back."

This is exactly how it went. The one thing he failed to mention was that he only gave me 80% of his backpack and said he was done. I confronted him about this, and he said he was keeping class-hats, festival weapons, and items of "value" to him, which is not the entirety of his backpack. That is when I filed a chargeback through paypal. Not to scam him, but to simply make sure my money was safe while this was figured out. My thought process was that he was trying to scam me, being as though everything he was keeping was what had the most value. That's why I removed him as a friend so I could speak to a steamrep admin. Before I got the chance he re-added me and told me he was reporting me for scamming and linked me his thread. This is where I realized we had a huge misunderstanding. I talked this through with him and he was very stubborn on keeping his items from before. We worked the value to around $20 which he paid through paypal, and then I canceled the chargeback. This can be validated by checking the 12th post of his appeal.
    Quoting him:

"We finally talked and made an agreement that I won't disclose until only if another trick or issue is brought up. http://i.imgur.com/K5Tau.png

Short and simple; he canceled the chargeback. You can officially close this post now."

The imgur link is proof of chargeback cancellation. Our agreement that he is mentioning here is the $20 for the items he didn't include.

    Closing Statements:
My reason for being banned was admin misinterpretation. The admin that handled the case I assume thought that my paypal chargeback was an attempt to scam him. I cannot speak for the admin though, that is something that whoever is reviewing my appeal needs to look at. Other then admin misinterpretation and miscommunication between us, everything was solved, I received either the items I payed for or the value of the items I wasn't given. In turn, he was also payed the agreed amount.

Please take this appeal into deep consideration as having a tainted name makes it very hard for people to find you trustworthy. Also take this moment to remember the 'SOP Caution' tag placed on the victim, as it proves he did not uphold his side of the trade.

    Thanks,
    Cael

I also forgot to add. I created a second post because I feel like I did not include enough information in my first post. I would like this to be my primary thread. Also my previous thread was accepted already but I was never dropped to SOP caution like the admin said I would be. If you would like me to move this information over to the other thread I am completely willing.
