Description:
I was initially added by Jassinlive who offered a scorching mongolian on my burning exquisite rack. I declined his offered and closed the chat box and therefore have no screenshot evidence of this occurring. After 5 - 10 minutes, I was added by Oakman, a dummy account as illustrated by the number of hours played, account creation time and backpack. He approached me saying that he was after a scorching heavy hat and was willing to grossly overpay for it. At this point I knew it was shady- I assume it was a scheme in which I would trade my burning exquisite rack for the mongolian offered by Jassinlive and try trade it for the promos as offered by Oakman, however, be ripped off as he'd 'no longer want the deal'. I called him out on this, and he removed me as a friend. I did further snooping for proof that this was the case. As you can see, there is movement of the parts of Oakman's backpack (all the parts, however, I screenshotted the Maxhead and Soldier medal) from Jassinlive to Oakman and back to Jassinlive after his scheme failed. This indicates that Oakman would seem to be a dummy account rather than one of an actual player.



I had further correspondence with Jassinlive. I wanted to approach him about the issue, hoping that he would admit to attempted to scam me. However, throughout the chat, he acted confused. Furthermore, he asked for my email and MSN numerous time to private message me. I ended up creating a gmail in order to discuss whatever matter he intended to. This led me to a private chat room where I was approached by a person named 'Notorious Demoman'. At this point, the amount of evidence I have to give runs dry as he erased the chat. Notorious Demoman also spoke very vaguely. I have a bit of the chat I manage to copy down here, but no screenshot:

Notorious Demoman: What's in it for you?
asdfa: Nothing.
asdfa: Why do you assume there has to be something in it for me?
Notorious Demoman: You're asking way too many questions out of
"curiosity" don't you think?
Notorious Demoman: Now cut the bullshit or I walk.
asdfa: What do you assume is in it for me?
Notorious Demoman: You've made your point. See ya.
asdfa: There's nothing I can gain from this.
asdfa: Asking if I want in is a different question.
Notorious Demoman: Would you like to gain something from this?
asdfa: Nope.
Notorious Demoman: Then why are we even having this conversation?
asdfa: Because you invited me.





I was unable to copy down the rest of the conversation as he erased it before leaving the chat. Notorious Demoman said that this was an 'interview' process and that I had failed. I assume that this might be part of a larger scamming group, however, I'm unable to provide proof of this and the chat log above is partial and circumstantial at best. However, a player named Notorious Demoman is on Jassinlive's friends list. I have provided proof of this.

Nice investigative work. A SR Admin will look into this case as soon as possible.

Followed another lead with a person of the friend's list of Jassinlive who happens to be part of r/tf2chat which I moderate. I noticed they removed each other and investigated further.
