A friend messaged me asking how long paypal payments take to go through and told me he sold his unusual burning flames handymans handle for paypal. I asked who bought it and found out the guy he sold it to was an attempted scammer and the profile they used as middleman was a fake like this? account. I got some chatlogs from him and screenshots.

He sent me two logs one of before and then one of after so I split them into two pastebin posts.

He sent me two screenshots and I took one showing the like this profile whos only friend was Handsome Dolphine.

Definitely a fake middleman scam. Never trust any links from the party trading you. ALWAYS check the steamrep of the middleman and trading party yourself to verify.

The screenshots of the trade inventory history does not show any proof of the burning flames handyman's handle that was traded.

Then you can see that the Burning Handyman's Handle is gone. In other words, the hat is no longer with the victim.

Yeah it seems these two have been scamming a lot of people there are 3 or 4 threads on it. I havent talked to soap yet but I will be helping him write up a report to steam support though I dont know that they will do anything since it was paypal hopefully they can freeze those two and any other accounts owned by the same person though.

They were already marked- am adding this to offenses. Please tell your friend to ALWAYS check SR before he agrees to a trade! Thanks for the report & additional info.
