What happened? Description:

OK I believe I have been scammed by this individual. I trusted him, as I had dealt with successfully once before. I had previously found him on the tf2-trader.com website.

On this particular occasion he offered me 100x CSGO keys. Consisting of Operatoin pheonix keys and Esports keys. The price agreed was 1.82 usd per key.

I told him I wanted to break it up into two transactions 50 keys at a time totaling 91usd each time for 50 cs go keys. He persisted I go first all at once and attempted to tempt me into doing so by saying I would save on paypal fees.

I send him the first payment, after which he says he needs to log out to transfer the keys to his account so he can trade with me. He hops offline, after a while he comes back online. he says at 22:34 "ffs"

At 22:39 he send me a trade request In the chat box, I accept, the trade window opens. I see a message that he has attempted scams before. he immediately cancels the trade window.

I thought he cancelled cause of lag or something and would resend another trade request but he did not.

He then starts playing CSGO. I then send him yet another message challenging him as to where my keys are. After which he hops offline. Does not come back online.

Hence I am filing this report.

I have provided screenshots of the entire chat between myself and this individual.​

He has come back online and he is not responding to my messages. I have asked him for my money back. He is Ignoring me.

This was the final response I got him after 5 or so hours. He mocked me then laughed at me and then removed me from his friends list.

Yea you're not getting those keys. Issue a chargeback. He pulled the same stunt on me a few weeks ago and I got all my money back.

I have NEVER EVER done a chargeback on PayPal. So I do not know how it works. I sent him the funds directly from my PayPal Wallet. I tried to report it to PayPal Via the site, but I can only report it as a unauthorized transaction.

How did you do the chargeback ?

How long will it take for steamep staff to respond here.
I know they are strained and understaffed, but this individual cannot be allowed to roam freely around the steam community. He is probably seeking more people to scam as we speak, thus creating even more victims. I wouldn't wish a scam like this to fall on anyone.

I hope he gets banned, across all his accounts. I am pretty sure he has other accounts.
I was initially willing to forgive him upon receipt of a refund but after the way he mocked me at the end in addition to scamming a number of people prior to scamming me. I think he should get a strong / Lifetime ban.
