    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] Steam Wallet fraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198122723300

    Victim profile: 76561197992659090

    What happened? Description:
The user and I have been friends for a few months and have played TF2 together on many occasions. One night, he sends me a picture of Steam Wallet gift cards worth $100 dollars a piece and says that he is selling them. I have been trying to cash out my TF2 inventory for a while to purchase new games. Our agreement was my backpack for one of the card codes. A middle man was brought in, which I now suspect is actually an alternative account of his, but here is the info.

I traded my items to the middleman and in return was supposed to receive the code. I was given a code, but it was invalid. I was given another code and told to try that one but it was also invalid. The user told me to wait a minute, that he was going to see if something was wrong, and then went offline, changed his name 4 or 5 times, defriended me, and blocked communication. Therefore, he stole my items. I highly believe he will do this again and all users should be wary of these two accounts.

    Provide Evidence:
Images of the trade agreement by all three parties and also images of the gift card keys not being valid.
