What happened? Description:

I am apart of this steam community group that trades CSGO items/keys for Runescape (nones Steam game) GP and possibly Accounts. I wanted to purchase an account and I was aware of the high risk potential so I took as much precaution as possible. Someone added me known as, Jack

He was the one selling his account (Jack), he got in touch with someone whom he suspected of being a well-known middle man, Deadpool due to his steamrep donation and his high level and high value inventory on steam. He would seem to be legit due to the fact of his steam level and Factory New Sttatrak Karambit Slaughter. I took interest to Jack's account so I proceeded to get on skype with Jack and Deadpool (aka Erik on skype) to discuss the purchase.

I agreed to pay $90 in steam wallet funds for the account and we reached an agreement. I was to pay $45 first and another $45 after receiving some information but not all of it. After Erik (middleman) received all of the funds, I received the account information and proceeded to play on the account. Everything went smoothly and I was on the account for about 3 hours until I went to sleep.

When I tried to log in in the morning, the account had been locked. I reached out to Jack in order to attain information so I can unlock it. Jack never responded and he unfriended me. At this point, I notified Deadpool (Erik), he let me know that he is able to "sit" people's internet and he agreed to help me out. I asked Erik if he can someone persuade Jack to let me get on the account and that I took so much liking to it that I would give him my CSGO knife (CS Bayonet~ $130) for the account. This was just a ruse so I can get my items back, I had no intention of trading for the account once more. He got a hold of Jack and I was on skype with the two of them once more. At this point I was trying to attain my items that I had traded onto the account because I knew I didn't have the account details to have the account for myself.

Erik wanted me to give him the account info so he can have it permanently locked, but I thought that would have been unreasonable, this upset him and he left the call very upset. At this point, Jack told me that the reason why he never responded to my steam messages regarding the locked account is because he never received the funds and that Erik never transferred them to him. Jack also told me that Erik had convinced him to give him all of the RS's account info including the security questions, which is why the account got locked.

At this point, I was unsure who to believe. So I did some research and found out that Erik has an alternate account which is banned on TF2outpost.com as his scamming alt and this account is also banned from the steam community group for scamming. This account gives the impression of being legitimate due to the fact that it is a co-owner of a group which has over 80,000 people in it. Account details:

Erik's alt has added me a few times trying to selling me OSRS gp (Old School Runescape wealth) for CSGO keys, but when I ask him to go first, he gets upset and calls me a scammer when I'm the one with large amounts of reputation on my steam account.

Erik has also threatened me on his main (Deadpool) to "sit" my RSN for "associating with a scammer (Jack).

At this point, I'm truly unsure of who is the true scammer, but having threats like that made is very serious I believe.

I also suspect that Erik has multiple accounts and he is a very clever scam artist. I suspect another account to be Erik's alternate due to the low hours played on CSGO and the two very expensive knives it has within it's inventory. Erik notified me on Skype that he traded his Karambit Fade + 250m OSRS gp for the FN Stattrak Slaughter Karambit he has now from this account.

Deadpool has also posted on the account as "+Rep, cross game traded for a large sum. Trustworthy and reliable."​

This report should be on Jack's profile not mine, you even state he's the one who scammed you. As-well, ' Middleman '? I don't think so he agreed to funds being transferred to my market purchases. Give full screenshots of all the chat history not just bits and pieces cause I know there are in your Skype chat with Jack about you condoning him scamming and attempting to assist.

Alright, So you Cross-Game traded with this player (http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198115737625). He asked me to put item on market for a certain amount of $ cause I have swap traded before and he didn't want to get scammed. You give money, he gave you his runescape account. He recovers it and i'm the one receiving the report. Go ahead and check if this is my account (http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198156634251), That's not my account but it's got quite a bit i'll take it. In addition, you say these 'threats' But I don't see screenshots of those? What your F12 key or gyazo wasn't working? You're a pathetic liar and once they get the chat history they will see the truth.

In the end, let me get this straight cause please check the chat logs... You get scammed, and you tell me all you wanna do is re-access the account to get your stuff back, I attempt to help and fail cause you kept talking 'Sketchy' towards Jack to receive the your items back, and you're reporting me.

So in the end I attempt to help this player, and he reports me. Hmmm, reasonable.

Also it'd be nice if this player (http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198156634251), wasn't reported because I game cross traded him 250m OSRS gp as-well as Karambit Fade for the Stat Trak Karambit Slaughter I now own, and since He didn't want to go first nor I, I gave him 250m gp well a middleman held his knife then traded me The Knife for my knife and proceeded to give to the player. We used this middleman because of his reputation (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/CSGOREPorts/discussions/5/35219681823030079/), Who was also condoned by a verified SteamREP Middleman (http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197999004171). When I say condone, Sarcasm didn't want to middleman cross game swapping and due to my recent reports, but said that he seems trustworthy but take screenshots in case, and I did not get scammed and was satisfied with the trade.

So in the end of what I have to say is, Jack scammed you, He received payment on runescape from me via gp (goldpoints) and no screenshot was taken in my gyazo history because it wasn't necessary since it wasn't an official trade just me owing him the gp he asked for the funds. In addition, It was his runescape account you bought, it was him whom recovered it, it was him who you negotiated with. I agree I wanted Jack's account to 'Sit' because he is selling the account for cs:go skins or anything really and just recovering it, so if it was unreasonable to attempt to get the account shut due to scamming, then call me crazy. But I would do it again and again.. As-well shouldn't this be in a different virtual item type involved and alternative account of hijacker since it was Cross-Game Trading (Runescape) Not CS:GO as-well as Jack not being my alternative or these other accounts here.. Many flauds in your report as also to admitting getting scammed by another player but report me... Next time I'd use 'Scammed or Attempted trade Scam' as-well as "([Other] Other game items)."

Wait a second, Jack scammed you and hijacked the account, so he committed 2 crimes. But wait a second, you have him added, and play with him... you play on the account meant to be bought by yourself. I look at my reports against me and have been archived, declined, pending, etc due to getting hacked and cross-game trading scams, see I don't agree and be safe so people try to scam me in cross-game trading I don't take likely to it, but all your reports to others have been lack of information, archived, declined, etc... Over one whole page of reports and not detail enough but all of a sudden you did it right this time.... only thing is your evidence in pointing in the direction of this character Jack... and it seem's to me.... right at yourself as well.
