What happened? Description:

First off, we had no groups or friends in common and he added me, telling me he was interested in my unusual. Nothing odd. He then preceded to offer me in PayPal, a big caution. The first thing I did was check his Steam page. Low Friends, Low TF2 hours, low value inventory, and it was overall sketchy. Next I went to SteamRep where I saw he had a mark. Another red flag. Finally he described the process of me getting money as: "him sending a trade offer, and the money will be in there". After I said I would only go through Steam Community Market, he declined and told me I would lose money. After that he defriended me immediately and changed his name.​
