What happened? Description:

This guy randomly adds me, claiming he wants to buy all my Unusuals. He wants to "check if they are clean" by sending them to a friend of mine, and claiming he could give me the 40 buds I asked him.​

This guy had 0 items in the inventory, 0 hours of play and only a couple of friends, and wanted to buy all my Unusuals in bulk, I think there's actually something wrong here. Also, I reported just yesterday another guy who used the exact same tecnique that this one did, and he already had 3 pending reports for the same reason. The only think different is that this guy is new to the scam or maybe it's just an alternate account.

Well, if he didn't scam you nothing wrong, could be a new player with 1000$ to spend on TF2.

A new player with 1000$ to spend wouldn't remove me as soon as I mention Steamrep...
Also the fact that no item was scammed is not a reason to not report him, I think

I don't know why you are so committed to defending this person.
These days TONS of people are adding anyone using the same method to try to scam items, using the EXACT SAME WORDS, and you think this is a guy who wanted to spend tons of cash right now?!

Its a very much abused technique by scammers to use a "friend" of the victim to let them trade to that "friend", which then they either impersonate the friend, or impersonate you to the friend. So reporting this behavior is valid. Just shame that the reporter here didn't go thru a bit to find what alt account the scammer was using to go impersonate.

Don't know if it could be an alt. He basically asked me how many keys for all my unusuals. Yet he has nothing in his inventory and has never played TF2. Just pointing this out.

You should make your own report againts him because writing this with even putting a screenshot won't be considered by an admin. More report againts him is actually much better so I recommend you to make one.

I am marking this ready for review just because it is a "friend" scam attempt and I fell sure we will see more reports on this guy.

This account impersonated Bacon, a trusted SteamRep middleman, and scammed me of two unusuals late last night. I filed my own report but mentioning here as well.

Please also notice that Shaman was scammed in a similar way with this same account plus another account that also scammed me.
