What happened? Description:

The accused sent me a friend's add on Steam which I accepted. During his "negotiations" for several of my Unusuals and a Max's head I checked his status here on Steamrep and found 5 other pending reports.

Needless to say he proceeded with an attempt at getting me to trade my assorted items to a trusted friend who, when I checked the friend's profile, was an impersonator.

This impersonator and the accused's accomplice is:

After I called out the accused's accomplice by saying "nice impersonation attempt" they removed me.

I reported them both to Valve and hopefully this report here will additionally aid in alerting other potential victims of their shady activities.​

Screenshots, as requested, should be self explanatory.

At the time of the scam the impersonator's profile had the name and avatar changed to look like my friend's profile. The glaring difference was that my friend is Steam level 37 and has never had a private backpack/profile.

As you can see from these screenshots I have 2 pants at the same time in Steam chat and their avatars at the time of this scam were the same.

Thank you SIVARTZ! By the time I got to it he/she had already changed their name too many time to show pants in the history.

Apparently my clan tag is causing the strike-through issue. It doesn't show up in the text and everything after it is strike-through'd.
