    So, I'm trying to make sense of this from your short description & chat log.

    Here's how it looks like it went down:
    1. Krabs possibly knows Penguin, brings him in as the "admin" to act as a middleman
    2. Krabs explains a middleman is needed because of "bugged items"
    3. Penguin gets you to send the knife as a one-sided trade, and Krabs never sends the item (Penguin just says he does)
    4. Penguin says both trades are received, when in reality he only gets your knife
    5. You send the DOTA 2 items as well as a one-sided trade to Penguin, he keeps those also.
    If I got this wrong please correct me, first time trying to help someone out on the forums.

    My advice: Never trust a middleman, and people that try to convince you that they need extra verification for "bugged items" is just another step to getting you scammed. Was Penguin acting as an admin from SteamRep/CSGOLounge?
