Accepted 76561198028296646 The Burninator 2 (ASBO Scammer)

Hello Steamrep community,

I've got a huge problem. About 2 years ago I decided to try out trading

in TF2. I had a few friends who encouraged me to invest a litte money into

this game in order to have a start-up capital. Of course, I was still pretty

inexperienced at that time, so I just bought a few hats from the (new)

Mann Co. Store. After that I started playing on different trade servers,

where I could gain new items from other players.

Inadvertently, I've done a pretty bad mistake.

I can't exactly remember which hat it was, I guess it was a

bonk helm or villain's veil. I've posted an offer in the public chat

that I'm selling this hat. (I've bought this hat from another guy before)

Previously I've never heard something about clean or dirty hats,

I haven't known that a difference like that generally exists.

So I've sold this hat to this guy for the full price of a

clean version of this hat and left the server shortly afterwards.

Now, a few weeks ago, I've tried to connect to a trade server.

The connection failed and it said that I was getting banned.

So I tried to find the reason for this on the internet and there I've noticed

that I was marked as a ASBO scammer.

Reason: Sold non-craftable hats as craftable hats.

So my question now is:

Is there a possibility to reverse that? I mean, I'm pretty sorry for what

has happened on this day, I really wasn't aware of my mistake.

So its a outright LIE that you only found out "some weeks ago". You knew for a very long time.

Also I see you trade loads on Trade Post and Outpost. The only break I see there is in April this year, so you have quite some trading around between, and I don't believe nobody told you with those trades for unusuals etc that they didn't find out about you being scammer marked.
So thats Bullshit #2.

Firstly to your comment, DataStorm. I have written the text in the past. I know it was a long time. The next thing is, the guy hasn't added me. I did not refuse to talk to him, he never sent me a friend request or something like that.
If you would send me the name of the guy who I have "scammed", I would give him a new hat for free.

The offense is offering a dirty hat (not craftable, gifted, not tradable) posing it as a "clean" (craftable/tradable/not gifted) one. Doesn't have to mean someone fell victim to it. The follow up was a admin trying to add you on FL back then.

But as its a very long time, no other offenses found, the offense not a mayor one and ASBO & original report defunct, I'll grant the appeal. I'll lower the tag to "SR Private Caution", which is only shown to admins. This means that if something comes up, the ASBO Scammer tag will be risen again.
