What happened? Description:

Scammer messaged me asking to buy my tf2 items for money via paypal.

Scammer was trade banned when he first messaged me and said his trade ban would be lifted a week or so after during the waiting time. He made me an ridiculous offer that would profit me greatly so I already knew it was too good to be true but I decided to play along to get evidence so that he could be ban. He offered to go first and he sent me a screenshot of him sending money to my paypal but no money was transferred to my account and he demanded I send him the items right away because paypal takes an hour or two to process transactions which is untrue.​

Provide Evidence:

I've seen 3 reports on this person that went nowhere because the accusers don't have 'enough' evidence. Are we supposed to get scammed first? And use that as proof? No one smart enough is going to get scammed by this. The only people that have gotten scammed are the not so bright one and they are not going through the trouble to report them. There is 2 reports on him on backpack.tf and 3 reports here including this one. I went through the trouble of begging his friend ( could possibly to alt) to convince him to tell the scammer to unblock me just so I could talk to him and see his scam attempt again. I also have proof that he scammed another person. I only have proof of him 'sending me money' via paypal because obviously I did not send him my sticky bomb launcher because the money did not go through. I also have proof of him scamming another person. If this isn't sufficient evidence. I reckon we need to actually lose items to get someone reported.​

I did not go through with the trade because it was obviously a scam. Therefore I cannot provide the screenshot. If scam attempts are not bannable then unfortunately I think i've come to the wrong place. So to be clear you actually have to get scammed before you can report?

Yes I provided my actual paypal email.

But the chat logs are between me and the scammer? I added him so long ago. Here is a screenshot of my comment on his profile ( his profile is private so to comment i must be his friend) and on the right are chat logs.

I cannot upload an image but there is clearly proof of me talking to the scammer via chat logs and giving him my paypal and him faking sending me money via paypal

Because I reported it on backpacktf and it went no where had No idea you could report here until I saw the two other reports on him here.

It's been 5 days and there was no response so I gave up on it. Can we please get back to the report? I don't understand why is it so difficult to report someone who is clearly scamming people and 2 other people also reporting them.
