    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198078818250 ()

    Victim profile: 76561198072222777

    What happened? Description:
I saw this user's listing on SourceOp advertising TF2 keys for sale here -
    http://forums.sourceop.com/threads/158778-Mann-Co-Keys-(-1-80)-QUICKSELL!

This was my first dealing with this user. Although someone there pointed out that he had a pending report here on SteamRep (http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report-76561198078818250-krozy-tf2-team-fortress-2-items.65948/) I saw that he had otherwise good feedback on SourceOp and having had good experiences through that forum in the past I added him on Steam to discuss anyway.

He said he had 26 TF2 keys left at $1.80 each and I offered to buy all of them, so I sent $46.80 via Paypal as a gift. But after sending payment he went offline and was no longer on my friends list. I tried to add him again but got the message 'Error adding friend' so can only assume that he removed me from his friends list and blocked communication.

When I went back to the SourceOp thread I saw that he had posted 'Lowering prices so re-making thread.' and he had created this new thread -
    http://forums.sourceop.com/threads/158792-Mann-Co-Keys-(-1-75)-QUICKSELL!

So I immediately posted a warning to other users and he tried to defend himself by saying that he had just sold 9 TF2 keys to another user who had received them so I must have been dealing with an impersonator. Yet I added him to Steam using the link on his profile on SourceOp so it was definitely the right person and he posted a screenshot of his Paypal page that shows that his Paypal e-mail is [email protected], which is the e-mail that I sent payment to, so he definitely has my money.

The user that he says he sold 9 TF2 keys to said that he received them (see the first SourceOp thread) but notice that he did not post in the thread before buying the keys and also notice that his Paypal screenshot only shows the last one transaction. I can only say that he ripped me off but then sold 9 keys to someone else so that he could try to look legit. Nevertheless, he has been banned from SourceOp because of this.

I have included six screenshots as evidence, which show the following -

    1) Full chat history with him on Steam, showing that he went 'offline' and is not on my friends list.
    2) Immediately after I tried to re-add him as a friend and get the message 'Error adding friend', suggesting he has blocked communication with me.
    3) My inventory history showing that, as of 30 minutes after him going offline, I have not received any keys from him.
    4) His Steam profile as of now, 3 days later. He has changed it to private.
    5) My Paypal transaction showing $46.80 sent to [email protected] for 26 TF2 keys.
    6) His post on SourceOp claiming that I must have dealt with an impersonator, yet which shows that his Paypal e-mail is [email protected], which is where I sent payment.

    Provide Evidence:

Hello, can you give a screenshot of ALL your paypal history?
Make sure it shows at least one month of history.

I can, but can I ask why that would be necessary? This is my first report so I watched the tutorial video and I believe that I have already provided everything that's required. So I'd just like to understand what you're looking for and how that would help clarify the situation.
Also bear in mind that my last month of Paypal history is 8 pages long...
