    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198120184063

    Victim profile: 76561198154161631

    What happened? Description:
    Hello there,

I am a CS:GO key seller. I sell keys for money through PayPal (at least $2.15 per key). I was looking for a partner to sell in bulk / regularly.

I found this user [https://steamcommunity.com/id/BNSD89Official] through one of my friend, friends list (they did not trade with this user, just told me about them). A bit of background on this user - They been 3 years on steam and is level 97. They supposedly "buy and sell" Knives/Gloves/Keys. There cash rep is there comment section "I have more then 130+ comments for cash trades on my steamprofile" thats is from there profile. At this point I should of known something doesn't seem right.

July 14, 2017 2:38 PM - I contacted them and told them I was in search of a buyer. They said that they could do $2.02 - $2.08 per key. I said ok thank you anyways but I was looking for $2.15 - $2.20. They said they would do $2.15 if its 50 keys or more. I told them I would sell to them regularly and that I was waiting to get a batch of 10-15 keys. They said fine and that I could sell them a couple keys at a time for $2.15 max. I said great and that I would message them when I have the keys.

July 14, 2017 7:05 PM - I message them and said I had 15 CS:GO keys to sell. They ask why I wanted $2.15 and I said it's because I make $0.05 profit per key. They said they would give me $2.16 per key if that would help. I said sure whatever work for them and that I'm ready to trade. They said it would be $32.40 (for the 15 keys). They said to send them a trade offer sending them the 15 keys and to leave reputation after getting the money. I sent them the trade offer. I know STUPID of me, but I'm trusting this person who is level 97 and has been on steam for 3 years plus he's comment section was full of great reputation. I told them that I haven't receive the money yet and that I would log off PayPal and log back in. I told them still nothing and that if they sent the money in USD currency. They said to give them a couple of minutes because they are not in there computer. At this point I knew something is wrong and that I just got scammed. They got back to there computer and said it says that the transaction is pending, to give it a couple minutes. I ask if they sent the money with the friends and family option. They said yes. I ask to check again maybe they didn't hit send. They said yes and that it still says its pending. I ask again if they sent USD currency and they said yes and to give it a couple more minutes if not then they would message PayPal support. I said great maybe its just PayPal. A couple of minutes went by and they messaged me saying PayPal told us to restart our computer (I knew what was done was done). I said ok, but I just log out of steam and logged back in and then nothing... They appeared offline but I still asked what did PayPal said, even though I knew the damage was done.

I am a trader with +300 rep and this whole situation was my own fault. I did not do my research on the user and I let the number of levels / years they have distract me from the fact that no matter how high ranked a trader is, never trust anyone! Do your background check and if you have more reputation then them, make them go first.

Even if this trader does not get ban, I am taking the time to write this in hopes to stop other traders from falling in the same trap I did.

Be careful trading/ don't take risk/ and do your research.

    Provide Evidence:
The chat log is on mobile because (of course) when I logged off the chat on the desktop client got deleted.

Here is the screenshot of the trade offer I sent them.

In this screenshot you can see the user appears offline in the chat box but in there profile they are online. Before I could see there inventory and leave a comment in there profile, but after I give them the keys there inventory went private and I could not leave a comment.

Yesterday (July 14, 2017) the user was still in my friends list but today (July 15, 2017) they removed me.

@Steph A PC screenshots of the chat from now on - mobile is hard to review.
Please provide a full screen shot of your Trade Inventory History showing for sure the trade in question(NOT TRADE OFFER!!)- open this with a web browser, move your mouse over the users name in question so it shows up the hypertext popup URL at the bottom of the screen - take the screen shot DO NOT edit it in anyway and upload. Also need a screen shot of your Paypal ACTIVITY (not Summary) for let’s say the last several days full screen DO NOT edit this shot in anyway. Upload HERE…NOT imgur, NOT gyazo or any other 3rd party hosting site!

Sorry yes I know, I checked to see if the chat was in the browser but it wasn't. Lets hope there is no next time. All my screenshots are raw shot with GIMP, except the mobile chat.

Here is the trade inventory history. The top one is me sending them the keys. The bottom one is when I bought the keys. I buy CS:GO keys at $2.10 to sell $2.15 -$2.20. Check PayPal screenshots for evidence.

I was getting ready to check this post to see if there were any update and I get an invite from a user named cuzn csgofast.com -

I accepted the invite and they asked me if i got scammed (yesterday I posted on some of the scammer #1 friends profiles that scammer #1 had scammed me and to be careful) and I said yes they sent me a screenshot link [https://prnt.sc/fw6wb9] and told me that scammer #1 [¡¡BNSD-89 B>Knives/Gloves/Keys] said that there credit card got block and they have to go to the bank... and so on. Scammer #2 [cuzn csgofast.com] said that scammer #1 was going to add me to talk. These screenshot were after I finished talking to scammer #1. Scammer #2 didn't delete me from there friends list so I could recover our chat log in the browser. PS: Scammer #2 is ban from SteamRep, so i don't know if its 2 different people working together or scammer #1 has 2 accounts.

Well scammer #1 added me, I accepted it and they admitted the scam. In the chat I was having fun with them because how could I have been so STUPID. Here is the screenshot of our chat, not from the browser because they quickly removed me.
