What happened? Description:

i met this user in a skial trade server. we wanted to make a trade but he didn't have mobile authentication, so i decided to send him the items he wanted in a gift trade so he wouldn't have to wait 15 days to receive them, then he sent me the items he payed in a trade hold and i would wait 15 days to receive my end of the trade. he canceled the trade hold 7 days later and ran off with the items i gave him.​

the conversation ended here. he didn't send me another trade and he set his profile to private after this last message but i wasn't really suspicious at the time. View attachment 733391

this is all the evidence i can provide. in his bp.tf inventory, you can see the conscientious objector i gave him just before his profile went private. he hasn't blocked me though. probably because he thinks changing his profile settings would be enough.​

he wanted to buy my conga taunt, nasty norsemann and hot hand and when he saw i was selling objectors he asked me to put an image onto a objector for him. i asked for 1 key/4 ref for the taunt, 4 ref for the objector and i gave him the hot hand for free. he didn’t send a trade for the norsemann so we only exchanged for those three items. this was in a single day, on October 9th. he cancled the trade hold on october 16th.

he seemed trustworthy and i wanted to be nice. i already knew the risks and that he could just cancel the hold at any time. i mostly expected this outcome, regardless i still did it.

i hold responsibility for the items lost and i’ll accept any way this report turns out.
