    What happened? Description:
    I made a steam trade discussion. And this person commented asking me to add them, they asked if i was willing to trade, and went on to attempt a counter offer scam. I called him out and then he blocked me​

    Provide Evidence:
    If have provided pictures of the chat, the suspects profile, a picture of the thread where he asked me to add him, and proof that he blocked me​

    I'll look at this again later but if you knew about the user being sketchy not sure why you would add them to talk to them anyway.
    You said your friend a few months ago had issues with them. We want you to AVOID users like this not interact with them...as our goal isn't to punish but to alert, give you information to avoid.
    In the future be sure to do that.

    Ok with this report I was unable to verify identity to the accused.
    The screenshots of the users profile do not show this nor does blocking or being blocked would prove that you and this user were friends at this particular time.

    Thanks - issue is I can't confirm you were ever friends with this exact user by SteamID - all I see is a chat box with a name and profile image. Need to verify this and you can do that with a screenshot of your friend/user activity thru a web browser - when you take this and it shows you adding the user hover your mouse pointer over the users name so it shows the popup of the profile. Make sure you open this in a web browser before doing anything rather than steam client. Take the screenshot and make sure it's Full Screen and make sure steam client URL is enabled, not edited or cropped in any way! Upload HERE…NOT imgur, NOT gyazo or any other 3rd party hosting site!

    All that first screenshot shows is you talked to someone with that exact same name and profile image - we must confirm by ID. In some instances I can tell this other ways at this time I can not.
    I'll give you 24hours to figure out if you can prove this.

    No, trade bans are issued for whatever reason by Valve and has nothing to do with what we do here.
    I can not accept a report against someone I can't verify that you and the accused being the ones involved...for all we know you are reporting the wrong user and issuing a tag and accepting the report is on me/us and to ensure that we do this correctly the report will stop here since you do not have anyway to confirm you were in contact with this user via ID.
    I suggest again you try to avoid these types of situations altogether.
