    Scam Report

Report Type: [Trade Offer Fraud] Using Trade Offer URL fraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198114402400

    Victim profile: 76561198148713751

    What happened? Description:
This user contacted me on Discord, repeatedly asking me to engage in a trade. Individual was friendly, apologetic, and demonstrated a sizable backpack, eventually making an offer; my strange Loch and Load, called Vermillion, and my Smoking Jacket for an unusual Hat of Cards. He accepted, and he asked for my tradelink. Then, asking for the "market sales" of my items (including my Australium Knife, called "Carrington Event" for his own purposes) he asked me to deposit my items into an online vendor (scrap.tf) to demonstrate it's value. In doing so, he enlisted a second account

To send duplicate trade offers, simultaneous to the actual bot, over and over and over again. Eventually, the wrong offer was accepted on my end, and my items were lost (the Knife, and Loch and Load) were lost. From there, he send several attempts to offer my items back, cancelling them immediately, and sending with them a badly worded message, saying "Scrap.tf User not verify(keep decline)(Need to make a support verification to verify your ownership to send 2 items back) 1/3 (?)". He had me make a support post on Scrap.tf, before that very bot sent me another offer, seeking all of my strange weapons, claiming they required them so they could "verify my identity on Scrap.tf." I terminated the call and transaction from there, recognizing the scam.

    What happened? Description:
This user impersonates a trade bot for several popular TF2 Trading Websites, and is used, in tandem with another account, TheNervousPyr0

To perform trade link scams. Using this account, the NervousPyr0 sends duplicate trade offers to the user as they attempt to upload items to Scrap.tf, Backpack.tf, or other item sites of a similar sort, so that instead of items being transferred to the user, they are instead transported to the bot, to be collected by TheNervousPyr0.

Pyro reached out to me on discord, in the hopes of trading with me, for some of my higher value items, and we joined a voice call to examine inventories, and come to an agreement. We agreed upon a trade of my Strange Killstreak Loch and Load, and my Smokers Jacket for an unusual Hat of Cards. Before he would make the trade, however, he asked that I verify the "market sales" of my items (including my Australium knife, not for sale), by uploading them to my Scrap.Tf backpack with the screenshared. He then utilized this bot, and my trade-link to send duplicate offers to the bot I was interfacing with, so that when I accepted a trade to send my items to the bot, it instead went to this account. This bot then sent back the following message: "Scrap.tf User not verify(keep decline)(Need to make a support verification to verify your ownership to send 2 items back) 1/3 (?)". I submitted a report to Scrap.tf support for a faulty bot, then was sent a second trade offer, demanding nearly all of my strange items, to "verify" my identity through Scrap.tf. I terminated the trade offer, and the call from there, realizing I'd been duped.

Don't make two reports like that again - ONE report for ONE situation against the first user you were in contact with.
Sorry we do not review any evidence thru discord which you clearly went to for discussing the agreement.
You were noted the below link prior to clicking the submit a report button but must have over looked it - please do not do so in the future.
