    Hello Admin,

I believe I have been wrongly tagged as a SOP and Reddit scammer because of the sole fact that my younger brother is the person responsible for the allegations against my steam account. I understand this may sound like a lame excuse and an attempt to clear my name by lying, but please hear me out.

A while back, probably around the time that my steam account was flagged, I had not been playing very much TF2, or any games for that matter, because I was too busy with a new job, moving across the country, and a relationship. I gave my younger brother (around 13 years old then, 14 now) my login information because he said he was flagged as a scammer from his own account, and wanted to trade a few things. Even though I did ask him at the time why he was banned, unfortunately he lied to me, and told me he was banned for invalid reasons. Obviously being upset after my own account was banned, I changed my password and never let him log into my account again.

I have started playing TF2 and other Steam games again within the past 6 months or so, and have put up with the bans because I realize I am fully responsible for my own steam account. Even with this being said, I have finally become fed up with being banned from trade servers and trade websites for something I personally did not do. Please let the time and thought I have put into this appeal be the first indication that I am not a scammer.

I am not very familiar with any ways I can prove I am a different person than the one who committed the trade scamming, but I have a few ideas of indicators that may help. Please take a look at my current backpack. I do not own a single unusual, and never have. The most expensive things I own are probably a few strange botkillers. I have a ton of weapons that I have sorted myself by class, because I primarily play the game, and don't trade all that often. The first and second page of my backpack are things I have saved to trade because I simply don't want them and want to buy more Tour of Duty tickets. If there is any way you can look at my trade history from the past 6 months, I have not traded anything more valuable than a botkiller weapon (only silver or carbonado).

Second, please take a look at my play history and my account in general. I have been playing Valve games since TFC and have been using Steam since it was released in 2003. I have around 30 games in my library, and obviously have an account that has been around for a while. This is not a disposable account I created to become a scammer.

As of today, I cannot find any evidence on this website or anywhere else that proves my account specifically was used to scam anyone. I am guessing it was flagged because of the association with his other accounts. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but please consider this in your decision also.

I am 24 years old, going on 25, and am a responsible adult. I live in Los Angeles, CA and have a stable, decent paying job. I do not have any desire to scam TF2 items from anyone, whether it be for money or prestige. I believe dealing with the ban for the past 6 months or more should be plenty of a punishment for letting my brother use my account.

I work from home, am available all day every day, and will respond quickly. Please feel free to contact me via steam, email, or this forum to discuss any further issues. If you have any other ideas of how I can prove I am not the real scammer, please let me know.

Thank you for your valuable time and consideration.

    Best regards,

    - Brad
