To start off, I'm not a trader. I used tf2outpost few times to get some stranges and a hat, and I'm not too familiar with all that "scammer" and "alt" terms. Now I went there to get some winter keys just to find out that I'm banned for being alt. I have read FAQ, and I can't tell that I am an alt because I play a lot of games on steam, and I've been using it for a long time.

And all that guys who are called my alts or I'm called their alt, I think that some of them might have the same internet provider as I do, and this provider gives same IP adress to some people. I can't tell anything about them for sure though, but I am definitely not an alt.

Additional notes: UHC Closed down August 15, 2011. Most if not all admins went over to UTC, and they handled the appeals till 3 months after UHC closed down. After which they could no longer use google cache to see topics on UHC anymore. Also, UHC tags are being re-tagged to UTC. Any ban before Juli 21st is considered UHC, and above linked topic is effective. Between Juli 21st and August 15, its dependent of where the ban originated, if it is UHC, then above linked topic will still be in order.

For Scammer Appeals, what are the rules?

The rules are as follows:

You must have a public profile and public backpack. If it isn't public, don't even bother.

Only appeals are done with the account that has been marked. No 3rd-party appeals (exceptions may be translators, or if you were somehow directly involved such as being middleman).

Only ONE (1) appeal per scammer. If you feel your appeal has been handled unfairly, you may bring it up to another admin.

If you have any evidence to the tagged offense, be ready to provide it once requested.

Most statuses are dependent on the community they are originating from. If you have a scammer status from UTC, TF2TP, RAWR, and so on, you will first have to appeal your original ban there.

If you have SR or SOP scammer tag, you must login with your SteamID and appeal at:
http://forums.steamrep.com/forums/appeal/

If you do not make yourself reasonably available during an appeal process, the appeal will be closed and evaluated or denied. You will be told the result in the appeal post and removed from friends list.

Be courteous and respectful, as you should expect the same from us. If you insult and berate us, we will simply ignore you and block you. Admin abuse is grounds for terminating interaction with you, and the appeals admin will be forced to rule on the case taking into account your behavior.
