He offered Fable 3 Collection for some of my keys, added the game in the rade window (so that I could see he had it) then acted as if he didn't understand how to use keys. Got me to send one first before sending the game. Asked me how to use it and the just went offline. Fortunately I sent him a bundle key that wasn't worth much so my loss was minimal but I want to make sure he doesn't scam others. I can confirm that he activated the key (had a friend test it) but not on the acount he used to scam me. Code: Never tell your password to anyone. Trader 4 LIFE: hi Zomby: hi Trader 4 LIFE: i have fable 3 collection and wanted a couple of your keys Zomby: ok, what were you interested in? Trader 4 LIFE: beat hazard, rig n roll, zombie shooter 2 ? Trader 4 LIFE: is that to much? Zomby: is your fable tradable or key? Trader 4 LIFE: tradeable Zomby: that's good, I can do that trade Trader 4 LIFE: ok cool You have accepted the trade request from Trader 4 LIFE. Trader 4 LIFE: oh i dont know about that though you could send them Zomby: keys are just text (letters and numbers) and you add them to your steam account Trader 4 LIFE: oh i want to play them but i dont want to send my game first Zomby: well, I have no idea who you are but my rep speaks for itself Trader 4 LIFE: i have to much to lose Zomby: well if you're not confortable with this, I'll let you finc someone who has tradable items then Trader 4 LIFE: ok what if you send something then i send game then i get the rest? Zomby: I could probably do that, do you have a steamtrades profile yet? Trader 4 LIFE: i dont have 100$ on here lol only like 30 or something Zomby: yeah, I just saw that.... it'S laways a question of trust is it :s Trader 4 LIFE: what is? Zomby: trading with keys, and figuring out who goes first Trader 4 LIFE: oh Zomby: allright, I'll send you the Rig n roll key, then you send the game, then I'll send you the other 2 Zomby: would that be ok with you? Zomby: I got a great rep, I'M not gonna do anything to mess it up Trader 4 LIFE: i guess witch ever key Trader 4 LIFE: how do i know it works? Zomby: I'll walk you through it, seeing as you apparently never activated a game that way before Trader 4 LIFE: i havent lol Zomby: Allright, here it is: Zomby: Rig 'N Roll 7M055-PM4BM-V5NCC Trader 4 LIFE: ok what do i do with that? Zomby: On the lower left corner of your Steam client, you have a little + sing and the text "ADD A GAME..." Trader 4 LIFE: yea Zomby: (or wahtever it is if you'Re not in english) Zomby: if you click there, and choose "Activate a product on Steam", you get a product activation window Zomby: By clicking "next" then "I AGREE", you get a box where you can enter the key Trader 4 LIFE: sorry lol Trader 4 LIFE: my internet gets me Trader 4 LIFE: sometimes Trader 4 LIFE: i click next? Zomby: yes Zomby: then you click on "I agree" to the Steam terms Trader 4 LIFE: ok then put in code? Trader 4 LIFE is now Offline.
The problem is that you stated the key was for Rig n' Roll. If it was redeemed, it was not on the reported account: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198053193608/games?tab=all. Per the SteamRep Investigative Policy, I am not 100% sure that there is anything we can do about this particular situation. This is listed as part of the section "Reports we do not investigate: #1 - Game key or Activation code scams (It's usually impossible to verify the key or activation code in question, trades of this nature are outside of SteamRep investigative policy.)" I will have someone else look at this thread as well. I agree that what happened was shady. But proving it is another story.
Confirmed with an admin for the reasons mentioned above. I certainly apologize, but I have to mark this report as invalid.
