I'm having some trouble signing in using the steam API, when I logout and click the "log in through steam " button it goes to the https valve link, but loads only a blank page, not the log in screen... any idea's ?

is it possible that the login through steam functionality is affected by the hardware migration that's also affecting the availability of the steam user forums, and other steampowered.com services ?

As soon as I'm able to log in through steam I'll get on with posting a thread in the appeals section.

So, apparently the "sign in through steam " functionality is restored, however, when i try to do that, and try to do the association of this forum account JulieT with my steam account I get this error from the steamrep.com forums:

Just some things to think about mate
I know the everything about tf2 gambling I've seen it all done it all heard it all, they call me the king spycrab since I've spycrabbed prop ably over 300 times now.
So this is how it seems to me:you knew what you were getting into, you knew that you were spycrabbing for a bills hat(personally you have to know if your spycrabbing someone because your standing opposite them pressing g) but what you did not know is that this guy had connections.you didn't get scammed you just thought you would be clever and run off. Well at least this guy had the balls to report you. You know what you did mate and I think data storm and duskfall have put it simple. I'm sorry mate, if you don't do the crime you don't get the time.

Temio, really... stop condemning for something you know so well... a lot of ppl explain the rules on it so wrong/poorly that ppl actually think that the first to spycrab 3x means winning.
And thats one of the problems here. So stay out of making a judgement call, for you're obviously not suited for it.
If you had actually READ EVERYTHING, you would have noticed some stuff, and you would not have made that post.

you should be able to log in with your name. You already successfully linked your forum account to the steam account. as you already had a password on the forum, you can now simply log in to the forum with the username/password you already had, and don't need the steam login.

I'm not going to discuss the case in full. There are other considerations as well which I already had noted down. If those still stand with his appeal, he'll get off, if not...

Oh and also if u look on the first rawr trade link this guy has put in his thread go to the second comment and look at the first imugur pic it clearly shows the message 'first to three loses'

Read the times in front of it.... maybe some lightbulb will flash on then... yes that is AFTER the crab, and the actual quote is "juliet u lost. u crabbed 3 times looser", thats something different then stating the rules BEFORE the crabbing... thats AFTER telling him he lost due the rules.
The order of chat is there reversed, it begins on the bottom, and ends on the top.
