What happened? Description:

So I make him a trade offer on backpack.tf for my Festive! Bonk Atomic Punch, he adds me, ask me for the average price of the item. So, I'm not 100% with it and I'm kinda suspicious, but I think, eh, what the hell, might as well go ahead.

So I throw out the price he's offering. He's offering 5.11 refined for it, he sends a phishy misspelt link for me to check the site, so instead of click it like a total idiot, I go to Google and type the link in itself.

Note: I will not post any of the links here and I would recommend to you to not follow the links either.

Then I say that I've "found" the site, I hadn't checked yet and throw out 4.88 but I'm just lying because I'm getting suspicious and I know not to click any phishy looking links. He makes me hurry by saying to me to screenshot the page so he can be sure / scam me.

I lie and tell him, that my Print Screen key doesn't work. I say that the link is x and he claims its y, I question him about the misspelling and he claimed he "missed clicked". He sends me a second link and instead of clicking it, I type it in and it comes to nothing (luckily).

I decide to call him out on his scam and I threaten him, by saying that he should accept the trade offer before he had claimed that he was going to "accept the offer" and tell him that either I get the trade done or I go to Steam REP (which is why I'm here.)

His final words was "K LOL" and "kys". He removes me and I'm not idiot that can be easily scammed.​
