What happened? Description:

I was told by a "friend" that I was accidentally reported for duplicating weapons to an admin, and that I had to add the steam "admin" to clear things up. I added them and I explained what had happened. They went for a bit (which is the time that I think it took them to make the gif in the evidence) and came back with said gif. They explained that I was being recorded and that I was "under protection" of the steam community support. It was very fishy overall, they dont have a valve employee badge so I knew it was instantly a scam. The gif is poorly made too but could fool some perhaps naive people. I called them out and now they have blocked me. I hope they get banned so they dont do it to anyone else. (They also tried to make it look more legitimate by having someone who is trade banned comment in their comments complaining about being banned)​

I didnt think he would've reported it cause I thought he was part of the scam, since I havent heard back from him since the scammer blocked me

(Sorry I took so long to reply)
When I say friend, its just someone who I played with on a jailbreak server and I saw him on that jailbreak server often. We hadn't actually talked on steam until that moment, and ever since it happened, he's not responded, gone away and then offline. He's still offline

By the way, the "friend" of mine is no longer on my friends list, he has seemed to remove me. That's even more suspicious but I cant prove he was in on the scam so there's not much I can do.

Oh, as it turns out that friend is now banned and has been brainwashed into being a fake admin. He was most likely hacked, which is concerning.
