    Description: A member of SourceOP, Cass277 (http://www.sourceop.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=profile&mode=viewprofile&u=14294) pointed out that a hat being sold on SOP, a Stormy Waxy Wayfinder had been purchaced from a user with a very low playtime in TF2.

    It turns out that this charlatain lied to this guys face, telling him it was worth 2 ref, 1 key, 3 crates, and a S.Sniper Rifle, for evidence please see screenshot number one.

    Now from looking at the official SteamRep+ FAQ it says this.


    What is a Scammer?
    A scammer is anyone that uses deception, thievery, lies, or anything that is underhanded to take advantage of or steal from another trader. See below for more comprehensive list of what qualifies for SCAMMER status. ​
    So this Teerid guy added Mijjer, probably after using some sort of tool that allows people to search for high value items that belong to users with a small amount of play time, and proceeded to lie to their face, and take their item, after convincing them that their item was only worth small change.​

    It is abundantly clear that he deserves no less than a full scammer tag, having clearly used quote '' deception, thievery, lies, or anything that is underhanded to take advantage of or steal from another trader''​

    As despicable as it is, sharking is outside our current policy (due to difficulty to enforce, outside SR's core mission, subjectivity of prices, controversial nature, existing workload, etc.). We'll update the FAQ to reflect this, though you already knew it was outside policy.

    Note that regardless of SteamRep's official stance, some communities are happy to ban sharks independently and you may wish to report this to the major trade server communities out there. If you do, you may be asked to provide more solid proof, such as a screenshot of the victim's inventory history to ensure the victim's memory is correct.
