    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] Other cash fraud (webmoney, bitcoin, etc)
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198059509803

    Victim profile: 76561198058885638

    What happened? Description:
Last night I added this user because he had a mutual friend of mine (who was offline at the time) because I was interested in buying skins with bitcoin. I asked him his rates and he told me 55% which is a really good rate, so I decided I would buy from him. He had no cash rep, which I should have backed away right then, but I was desperate for the profit and decided that since he had a mutual friend of mine, he was legit. He told me to send the money to his address, so I did. Once I did, he said he didn't receive anything on his account, but I proved to him several times that it went through to the address he gave me. I assumed that he was lying, but he said he would sell me another knife for cheaper to minimize his loses on a different wallet (blockchain). I agreed because the rate was good and I assumed if he was scamming me he would have removed me by then (also it was very late and I wanted to go to bed). So, we agreed on an amount and I sent to the new wallet. He said he received and was getting the items now. It's now about 12 hours later and he hasn't responded and he went offline. He hasn't removed me, but is ignoring me.

He linked me to his hackforums rep as well, which I didn't know what that website was, but I assumed it was just for selling items with bitcoin, however it's a lot different than I thought on further investigation. He did prove to me that his hackforums account was his by sending me a message on the forums (I made an account because I couldn't see his post unless I did). I accidentally closed the chat box, so a lot of the chat is in my phone logs.

All in all, he took $325 of mine and hasn't responded, so I'm just assuming he blocked me and forgot to remove me.

It has been over a year since this scam occurred, hoping to get this guy banned so people don't fall for his scams.

Don't bump reports- and our objective isn't to ban anyone.
    I'll look it over shortly.
