What happened? Description:

meowzy has been in my friend list for a couple of years. today he messaged me out of nowhere, telling me that he has "accidentally" reported my account for having duped items. he told me that i have to settle this issue with a "steam admin" if not my account would be banned in 1 hour. he told me to add a steam user named Mysterious (the "steam admin") to confirm that i do not have duped items.

i do not have duped items or whatsoever. this whole conversation was pretty sketchy and i decided to find out more about what he was trying to do. i listened to his instructions and i went on to add the "steam admin".

Mysterious sent me a video through steam. the video showed that i had a pending ban report on my account. he then probed me to send my trade offer url to him. after requesting for my trade url to confirm whether i have my items duped or not, he sent another video. the second video was him showing me how to send my trade offer url. he then threatened me that if i didnt send him the url, i might get banned.

i think Mysterious and meowzy was the same person, attempting to scam/get my account information. Mysterious was impersonating a steam admin, so i hope Steam Support/SteamRep would be able to do something about this issue.

i have also gathered the screenshots of the conversations, their profile url and the video url that they sent to me. i really hope that Steam Support would be able to solve this quickly because im afraid that other steam users would fall for his scam. thank you for reviewing my report, i hope to hear from the Steam Support/SteamRep soon.

he said you have 1 hours to add him so that he can confirm that it was a report made by accident or your account will get banned
