What happened? Description:

I recently received a knife from an online website, Gameflip.com, and since, I have already had 3-4 scammers add me. I have a clear message on my profile stating that if anyone wants to add me to trade or for any other reason, to leave a comment on my profile first. The fact that all of these people skipped that step lets me know right away that they are a scammer. The alleged scammer "666" added me on the fifth of September, 2017, at around 5 pm, EST. After accepting the friend request, I proceeded to talk to him. I looked at their inventory, which was private, and suspicion struck me. However, his profile had a link to a supposed "vault inventory," which I clicked and was brought to an inventory filled with pages and pages of knifes and other expensive skins. I thought that since they had an extremely expensive backpack, they might actually be a legitimate trader. He asked me if I was selling my knife, Huntsman Knife | Slaughter Minimal Wear, which I responded with yes, stating that I was only accepting in game items such as keys and other skins. I have been scammed 3 times before, all of which were on Paypal, so I had a distaste for cash trades. However, the alleged scammer brought up the website, OPskins, which I was familiar with since I have used it before and since it is similar to Gameflip.com. He proceeded to ask me for the stats of my knife. Since I was still relatively new to CS:GO trading, I wasn't sure what these "stats" were. He then proceeded to send me a copy of these "stats" for a CS:GO key, stating that they could only be found on OPskins. He then began to guide me through OPskins, teaching me how to get these "stats." So, I went onto OPskins and began to deposit my knife into my OPskins inventory. When adding an item into one's OPskins inventory, one must first click a bright orange button clearly labeled "deposit items," and then a VERIFIED OPskins bot will send the trade offer for the item. After accepting the trade, the item will show up in one's OPskins inventory, where it could be later sold, or withdrawn. After telling the alleged scammer that my item was deposited, I received a trade offer from an OPskins bot, which was just the scammer's second account impersonating a bot: http://steamcommunity.com/id/86284295433

where there's a picture of a CS:GO knife with the button for "get stats." However, after depositing a skin that wasn't my knife, I was glad to see the skin in my OPskins inventory, sitting there without a "get stats" button. It was clear that the scammer just inspected the page's element and modified it to look as if there was a "get stats" button. I confronted the scammer and told him that I knew he was scamming me and that there was no "get stats" button. The scammer was persistent, eager to get his hands onto my knife, claiming that only a knife will have the "get stats" button. Finally, I told him that he couldn't fool me, which he later responded with a "?" before going offline and blocking me.​

Provide Evidence:

The scammer asked me to deposit my skins on OPskins stating that I would receive a trade offer from an OPskins bot. However, even though I didn't even click deposit, I still received a trade offer from what I assumed was a fake OPskins bot. I repeated the process with a cheap USP-S skin, and I received a trade offer from a verified OPskins bot after I clicked the deposit skins button. After confronting the scammer, he went offline, set his profile to private, and blocked me. I​
