What happened? Description:

I got a random message 9:37pm from someone who never really spoke to me. I've had this person in my steam friends list for a while (few years i'd say) and we never really did talk, just added me to steam and never spoke to me.

They message with what seemed to be panic, saying that they have had "accidentally reported you for duping items instead of someone else to steam support." this person then sends me a second account called -Mae saying that that account is a steam admin and i had to message them so i don't get banned.

when i stalled to know more about the situation, the person became more pushy for me to add the so called admin account.

i could already tell this was dodgy, but in case, i looked up the method of how this person was trying to scam me and my suspicion of it being a scam was for filled, when i confronted them about it being a scam they blocked me and unfriended me.

went to get the url of the Mae account to see what the profile is like on SteamRep, but it looks like its been taken down as steam can no longer find the profile.​

Yes it seems quite odd, spoke to a few people who have said that their account has been hacked before, so i guess it was a hijacked account.
