What happened? Description:

A day ago on August 20th, 2022, that user posted a comment on a random screenshot of mine on Steam. He saw the item as we were playing CS:GO on matchmaking and was interested in it. He was offering $625.00 USD for my butterfly knife (urban masked) and told me to add him if I was interested.
As I needed some money at that time to purchase a gift for someone, I accepted the offer and added him on Steam. Through the Steam chat, I gave him my Paypal email and he sent a trade offer to me. I added my item in the trade window and sent it to him expecting the $625.00 in return. However, I haven't gotten the money and he has since deleted his comment on my screenshots, unadded me as a friend and never replied to my messages stating that I haven't gotten the funds. He even posted a public screenshot of the item in game after receiving it.
I don't expect to get my item back or the money, but I would like to inform the public at least of this scammer. It was rather unfortunate that I would not have the money now to purchase that gift.​
