    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [Steam] Steam Games

    Accused profile: 76561198201038666

    Victim profile: 76561199039894793

    What happened? Description:
So basically, I wanted to get Dark Souls 2 Scholar of First Sin at first, and I asked would he want some cash and some games or just games, and he said it depends. So I began listing what games I had to offer from bundles I got, but I didn't showcase all of them yet. He then asks if I only needed Dark Souls 2 and to me, it implied it was a good deal, and perhaps he can give me another game on top. So I responded, what about Dark Souls 3? He asked deluxe or standard and I said Deluxe. He then starts talking about fees and how I would need 30 dollars, I thought he would want the games and like 5 dollars at most. Furthermore, he then tells me to check GG.deals and understand the prices (DS2 is 15 dollars at the time and DS3 is 20, but he corrects me saying I wanted the deluxe so it's more which is 26), but before I can even question him about the games I will send covering most of the costs he then starts talking about PayPal and sending it as friends and family but the way he words it at first made it seem like he was talking about Steam family sharing. I cut him off asking "I thought the idea was I give you the keys and some money so you can give me the game(s) so are we not doing that?" he responds by saying "I am not interested in the games u have unfortunately" so I started stating the rest of the games that I had. After a bit he just wasn't interested, so we reverted to the original deal of just DS2 and told me if I wanted "to make it cheaper for u + 0 fees" told me to buy a Steam Card from CDKeys. I asked if its 10 pounds for him and shows me the amount in German currency which equals to $11.49, I buy it and asks me if I'm ready, and I asked to be sure if it's DS2 Scholar of First Sin and he says yes. I wait for him to send game but tells me to send card first, and I did and asked if it worked, he never responded, and I never got my game after plus he removed me shortly after. Not only that, but I then realized I got scammed and when I viewed his profile I saw it on my browser and not on steam and I found out it wasn't his first time here. I really should've researched better. To how I know them, It was my first time trading with anyone on Steam, and I was browsing through Reddit and Steamtrades and I found that guy on there and I added him hoping we can strike a deal.
