    What happened? Description:
    I was in a community server (Alias Trade Server Alpha). This guy was posting a repeated ad in chat saying "I am looking to buy knives for PayPal". I then added him and he said he was interested in my karambit fire and ice. I said it would be 1000$ PayPal USD. He then offered me 1050$ which was an instant red flag for me. Then he asked for my PayPal email. I then received a fake email from him pretending to be PayPal. I know this was not a legitimate email because the email it was sent from was not PayPal's, it was not in the same format as PayPal's emails, and the money was not shown on my PayPal summary. I knew by then that this was a scam and did not send my knife. I did however keep telling him in steam chat that I am checking my email and told him to come back into the server so my friend could also sell this guy his knife (i was lying so the server admins could also get info on the scammer). After I told an admin and had all his info, I said "hey guys stay away from .... he is a scammer and is gonna be banned soon" and then he left the server and blocked me on steam.​

    You uploaded 3 screenshots - yet I see several gyazo links - we don't accept evidence hosted on 3rd party hosting sites like gyazo and those links won't be clicked.

    @amaz Thanks - you need to make sure your steam client URL is enabled from now on - if its not screenshots of profiles won't be accepted.
    Because you didn't have this and showing you were friends in the profile screenshot - I can't verify identity...follow next set of instructions.

    Thanks - issue is I can't confirm you were ever friends with this exact user by SteamID - all I see is a chat box with a name and profile image. Need to verify this and you can do that with a screenshot of your friend/user activity thru a web browser - when you take this and it shows you adding the user hover your mouse pointer over the users name so it shows the popup of the profile. Make sure you open this in a web browser before doing anything rather than steam client. Take the screenshot and make sure it's Full Screen and make sure steam client URL is enabled, not edited or cropped in any way! Upload HERE…NOT imgur, NOT gyazo or any other 3rd party hosting site!

    This person is not showing up on my activity. I don't know if it is because they have me blocked or I have them blocked or what not. I simply cannot find it anywhere on my user activity. I am trying to take the time to prevent other users from getting scammed by this person, and I do realize that you need a certain amount of evidence. However, you do need to realize not only can I not see it anywhere on my activity, this is a lot of extra work I don't need to be spending time doing. I feel like for trying to do a good deed and report this guy, it's taking a lot of time out of my own schedule. Thx anyways i guess.

    I wouldn't waste mine asking for things if I didn't need it - and when we can't determine identity to any report we ask for methods to verify this being the only one if you didn't do a screenshot of the users profile while friends.
    So yes your time is valuable but I guess ours isn't but without what I requested since you clearly don't have it report is archived since its possible your reporting the wrong user and an impersonator.
