What happened? Description:

Well short story, this level 60 steam account added me few days ago. He asked if I am selling a knife, where I told him that I am selling a shadow dagger on the steam market, then it turned out that he wanted to check it. (But that can be done through the steam market). In the end I told him that I dont fall for these pity scams, and then he removed me as friend and blocked all communication, but at least it was great fun to play along this guys crap

I have taken pictures on the steam conversation by just cutting and saving it as jpg pictures, I have not edited them in any way.

Check it out? You can do it, Valve has allowed users to inspect items in game to check out its validation, which of course also confirms the games specific files for it, which exactly is the issue which Valve fixed

They look legit, but this is common to show real accounts, in order to create fake ones afterwards, and then make impersonations of them.
