    What happened? Description:

I awnsered from backpack.tf and then he/she told me that accidentally reported me and encysted i contact a "steam helper". I sended him some fake irl's and took a good 40 min of his time trying to scam people.

    Hello

    [1:02 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
    Good day.
You are messaging an official Steam Helper.
How can I help you, Steam User?

    [1:03 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
There have beeen some false reports on my account

    [1:04 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Well, let me check if you have any pending reports. I'm going to use Steam Reports Database.
    https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd....935/12CF8326F97C7CBA1128809A8335DA27EB1EF960/

Report#104581. You have pending reports those required to be removed. Otherwise, your account will be permanently BANNED. As the reports were filled for scamming, you will recieve a Community Ban that restricts all the features available for a Steam user (no chats, no friend adds, no community servers available, etc).
Do you wish to remove the pending reports?

    [1:07 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
yes but how is this going to work?

    [1:07 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Follow my instructions and answer the questions I ask to remove the reports.

    [1:07 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    ok ok

    [1:07 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
For now, answer a few simple questions before we start the procedure of the Verification.
Do you have any items involved in a fraud?

    [1:08 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    what kind of items?

    [1:09 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
    Any scammed items.
    Do you own?

    [1:10 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
as far as i know i havent scammed anyone

    [1:11 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Alright. I only need to fill your personal card in Steam Reports Database. That is why I am asking.
Please, call me the markets where you were buying/trading your items. Such: Steam Community Market, Mann Co. in-game Store, http://backpack.tf, http://scrap.tf etc.

    [1:12 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    Like their phone ?

    [1:13 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Where did you buy or trade your items? Like in-game Store, so on.

    [1:13 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    oh thats what you mean
    i dont remember

    [1:13 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Have you ever bought anything at Mann Co. in-game store?

    [1:14 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    No

    [1:14 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Do you have any items currently listed at Steam Community Market?

    [1:14 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    No

    [1:14 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Alright. I will remove the pending reports. But firstly, we should complete a simple process of the Verification your items.
Do you know the procedure of the Verification? Or is it your first time?

    [1:15 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    I am completely new

    [1:15 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Alright. There are 4 steps required to be done:
    1. I only scan your inventory for suspicious items using Steam Verification Scanner.
    2. I name you the suspicious items which required to be verified. You should send them to official Steam Item Database BOT.
    3. Item Database BOT verifies your items so I will be able to clean up your pending reports. It takes about 2-3 minutes.
    4. You receive your items back and enjoy continuing using Steam Services without bans. Also, you will get special Verification Certificate such this:
    https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd....331/3DCAF16E4DBB600821552ED7D2DB2CFE2C40FF94/

    https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd....458/58F77589F0FB57911A4DC7C46C42E09419C40F76/

Few examples for you to make sure that such procedure has been done by many users and there is nothing to fear about.
    Everything is understood?

    [1:16 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:
    Ok

    [1:17 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Well, let's start. I'm scanning your Inventory for suspicious items.
    Verification process: 25%
Dear, Steam user, give me your Trade Offer URL to let me launch Item Database BOT.

    [1:18 μ.μ.]
    Slyxeth:

    [1:19 μ.μ.]
    Steve:
Kindly follow the instructions and provide the URL in the chat. Because every step or the procedure is being recorded and randomly checked by other Steam Helpers.
So follow the link to get the access to your URL.
Or you can go to Steam-Inventory-Trade Offers-Who can send me trade offers?
So you will see your URL in the bottom.

This is NOT the first user you should be reporting - You basically reported the other user that was brought into the scam event. You must make sure from now on you report the FIRST user you were contacted by and who started the scam..you only need to reference any other accounts involved and describe HOW they were involved in the description by including the FULL SR profile block along with details of how they were involved.
Also include any and all FULL screenshots you have as evidence.
Please do not resubmit a new report - this one will do for now.

@Horse I am terribly sorry for the wait but at the moment I did the report I wasn't using my computer, so I didn't have the chat log from the other chat. I'll report the other account the scammer used ASAP once I get home.
