What happened? Description:

This individual offered a transaction to pay for my inventory items from Counterstrike Global Offensive after adding me as a friend. We got on a call on discord to negotiate the price of items. Initially, we started at $1000 for a trade, then to $5000, $6000. After our discussion, we decided on $6000 for the gut knife, bowie knife, hydra gloves, falchion knife, broken fang gloves, glock-18, p2000, usps and desert eagle skins and $500 for the remainder of items I had. He told me he needed to visit the bank to receive approval for his deposit. During his visit at the bank he asked me to send the items to show the bank evidence for his business transaction. Before I went through with the trade, I requested his government issued ID and a video of himself holding the ID. After I received the ID and the video, I sent the items to this individual in good faith hoping to receive the payment he promised. However, he has not returned of my messages or calls since.​

What happened? Description:

I originally reported this individual for not holding up his end of the trade. The final agreement we had was he will pay me $6500 for the skins that I have sent him.
After much discussion, he ended up not being able to complete the payment for the skins he took from me. We then agreed that as soon as the skins become available he will trade the skins back to me. However, upon our agreed time and date to trade my skins back, he demanded I pay him $200 in crypto for assurance that I will not report him to the authorities. He then upped the ante by demanding $300 along with another skin, and demanded this to happen in the next 5 minutes. This user is skilled in defrauding techniques and eliciting urgency in order to derive his desired outcome, and even noted that he "wants profit."
In addition, he seems to be impersonating another steam account to add to his legitimacy as a reputable skin trader. The "My Inventory" link in his profile description leads to another steam user's inventory.​
