What happened? Description:

Attempted scam, he tried to message me through an external account (https://steamcommunity.com/id/Billy12198827519/), and said to add him on discord,

The scammer started the conversation off with him wanting to buy my talon knife vanilla, and saw it through csfloat and was wondering if he could purchase it for 480$ which is ridiculous overpay for such a common item.
he thenproceeded to tell me that he would pay first with paypal and then i would send the item in his main account, through steam trade offer, he implied and shared his screen showing how his trades are on "hold", and then asked me to give him reasons why he should trust me, knowing full well he had tampermonkey addon to falsely show that he had tradehold. this was very fishy because i said i would send the items straight away and had no intention of scamming him and even though i said this he was extremely "afraid", paranoia is the correct word, he then proceeded to show me his paypal balance and refusing to show me his extensions. i then said good luck in the future.​
