What happened? Description:

I have an Unusual Taunt: Texas Truckin on the steam market up for $12 AUD.

The scammer noticed my item on the market which they targeted.

The Scammer added me as a steam friend, which I accepted.

I sent messages first asking who they were, we had no friends in common nor knew one another.

They asked if I was still interested in selling my Unusual Taunt: Texas Truckin. Which I told them to buy it on the market if they wanted it.

Then they asked to purchase it directly from me to avoid the 7 day Tradehold.

I questioned why they would want to avoid the Tradehold and they responded they are a reseller and didn't want to wait.

I suggested Tf2 keys as an acceptable payment method, which they ignored and asked if I accepted Paypal/Bank/Crypto etc. (This is an item worth ~3-4 Keys)

I then asked how long they had been a reseller for. They took a minute to respond saying almost a year. Their Tf2 mercenary badges dates Tuesday, April 2, 2024 with their inventory being worth only a few ref.

When I called them out for being a scammer they responded with "Bro, F*ck you"

The Scammer then unfriended me.

I unfortunately don't have any evidence regarding "Proof of broken agreement or scam attempt" but hope this will be enough. I didn't want to provide this person with my Email address connected to my PayPal.

I started recording during the event which I can provide if requested.​
