    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198161980497

    Victim profile: 76561198130990555

    What happened? Description:
This individual tried to impersonate a well known and high tier trader in order to get TF2 items from me through the OPSkins scam method.

    Provide Evidence:
So, this person added me on the context of offering on an Unusual I owned. I accepted and asked him what I can help him with.
He said he wanted to offer on it, but more than what the asking price of the hat. I said okay, I'll do the trade.
He then went on to ask for my trade offer URL, which I didn't give and said he can find it in my profile description.
He then went on to ask me if I've heard of OPSkins. At this moment I knew he was shady. I went to his profile to see if he was legit.
On his profile page, he had a backpack.tf link to the original Curiosity's profile, and not his. Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot of it because he[scammer] made his profile private before I could take a screenshot.
I then played along and said I 'listed' my Unusual on OPskins for a $1000, and then asked him to check.
He said he couldn't find it and then I said I didn't list it in the first place.
Then I told him to read my profile description which said that I don't fall prey to scam attempts, after which he removed me.

This was the person he was impersonating at the time of this report is being uploaded: https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198026577539

@Derpy McDerpton You need to do a full screenshot of the users profile WHILE friends not after.. since you did this I can't verify for sure if this is the right account you were in communication with. So follow next set of instructions.

Thanks - issue is I can't confirm you were ever friends with this exact user by SteamID - all I see is a chat box with a name and profile image. Need to verify this and you can do that with a screenshot of your friend/user activity thru a web browser - when you take this and it shows you adding the user hover your mouse pointer over the users name so it shows the popup of the profile. Make sure you open this in a web browser before doing anything rather than steam client. Take the screenshot and make sure it's Full Screen and make sure steam client URL is enabled, not edited or cropped in any way! Upload HEREā€¦NOT imgur, NOT gyazo or any other 3rd party hosting site!
