    He wasn't banned on outpost, so I didn't expect anything. Most scammers are normally banned on outpost, didn't expect one to offer on my trade.

    This was the trade, a white vintage tossle for a white vintage baker boy + 6 keys

    I looked in my friends list and saw I had 1 new scammer friend, which was him. I realized what happened and felt the need to report this to you guys. He was marked before the trade

    Don't check outpost for scammers. Make sure you check SR and use common sense to determine if it's a scammer or not.

    As Canadian said-- given the low value of your trade and the fact that it was clearly not intentional, there's not really any sort of punishment warranted.

    As a community admin, ideally you're careful going forward-- but at SteamRep we're really (honestly!) not trying to tag reputable traders who make a random mistake from time to time.
