Rend was trying to sell buds to one of our admins, admin accepts trade, Rend then says he has a program that transfers the buds and can't do it through Steam. Posts a bunch of random code then says he's done the transfer. At this point my admin informs Rend that he has been banned. After which he admits to our admin that the code was fake. I'm just filing this on Jeorey's behalf at the moment. I'll get him to post his trade history to reflect he never actually in fact received anything, even though it's fairly obvious Rend was using a ruse.
Hello, I am Rend. I'll be honest, It was a fake code and I was never running a program. It was just random codes. You're saying that I have scammed one of your admins on Hellsgamers correct? The pictures you have above is us talking about the ear buds. You're are saying that he got scammed by me right? If so, please upload the picture AFTER you make the trade where it says "Thank you for trading with Rend." These pictures are just us talking. I didn't completely scam you because I was talking to a friend about this and he told me that you will get banned by scamming, so I unchecked it right before you were about to make the trade. Then I closed the trade menu and I got banned. Since I know people that do scam other people and never get caught, I thought to my-self that you can't actually get banned for this, so I tried it. I realized that it was a total misunderstanding. Like I had said, I didn't take the keys because I unchecked it and closed the trade menu. Steam can even check my account if I ever got keys from trades for the past two days.
Plus, it's not my fault my brother uses my account to play tf2 and mess stuff around. I'm just trying to say I don't see what he did wrong even though he didn't actually scam someone.
So first you say that it was you doing the trade, but now it was your brother? Also: http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/ It's against Steam Policy to share accounts anyway.
Like I had said, It's not considered scam until you make the trade. Therefore, he did not make the trade and get the keys.
