Added him from Borderlands 2 Steamcommunity board since he was offering Borderlands 2 up to trade. Wanted to get a copy for brother. His offer was ridiculously high - $50 for key. My brother lost interest in making a trade for such price. Then he offered Black Ops 2 for 50 dollars. After few negotiations he decided to trade Assassin's creed 2 and Torchlight 1 for Black Ops 2 since his game wasn't tradable. After trade, he pasted some key and removed me from friendlist. No any change in his name, id, he did not block me and he did not set his profile to private. Feels like terrible scammer. Or maybe I'm overreacting and he retyped the wrong key?

Before I get flooded with comments that this trade was too good to be true: I had a feeling it'll turn out bad since that offer seemed to be impossible. Still, I went on because I had almost nothing to lose (those games were trading leftovers I got for almost no effort).

Also, additional note: Assassin's creed was gifted and torchlight 1 was traded through trade system.

Hello, could the victim provide a screenshot of their trade history showing that they traded their games? Also since he is the victim, helvas may have to be the one who reports the scammer (not sure if you are helvas, but if you are please sign in through Steam when reporting someone).

Hello ,can you prove the key he gave you is invalid?

How could I prove it?

After copying/retyping key shown in chat log into Steam code activation window, it says it's invalid.

the key in the picture is invaild, it doesnt exist at all . its not like a duped key or something

ok I offered to pay him back and he tells me its too risky how is it too risky, he didn't even contact me and tell me the code didn't work. I got the code in a trade for sleeping dogs and I wasn't aware it was invalid I offered him doom bfg and he says its too risky. I was gonna buy it at the store when I have money and give him the code whats so risky about that? Anyways I wasn't trying to scam him at all I already apologized and offered to pay him back with doom bfg he said that would be fine and then he said nevermind. I would like this to be fixed so I'm not marked as scammer anymore, if I was scammer wouldn't be on here trying to fix the situation.
