Description:
I met him on a server when he advertised as being a TF2 Merchant. Wanting to buy buds with recently-purchased robokeys (real-world money), I traded him. He said he had buds (didn't show to me), and I showed him my 21 robokeys and "sweets" - a Level 42 Vintage Soldier's Stash. He said he was okay with the keys, but he wanted to see the hat first. I had a feeling something was up, so I asked for an item of equal value. He said he was worried about a scam. I said I was too, and I eventually let him have the hat for viewing. He instantly disconnected from the server, and I just sighed. I have been scammed before on smaller levels, but I am disappointed. Because of the scammed item's value, I decided to submit this report.

I will be monitoring the history of the hat and I will attempt to retrieve it if/once he trades it away to someone else.

Thanks for the time. I assume he has alternate accounts, so banning him might not do much, but I just hope to get my hat back.

Will do. I am currently at my grandparents' house with no internet access for my laptop (using grandparents' computer for this), and I will wait until I get home so I can save screenshots onto my computer for future use.
