Someone added me to buy my hat via paypal. To me, it had all the telltale signs of a scam attempt:
1. Ridiculously high offer
2. Insistent that I went first
3. Spooked by the idea of a middleman
4. Very low backpack value

Recommend marking for caution. No trade was made so cannot be definitive he was attempting to scam.

If this helps, I will always ask people to use their money and go buy buds or keys, then come back. Unless you truly had to have the cash, its the safest way to go.
