Their English was bad but they mentioned trading it for Payday 2 - a fairly popular game, so I questioned them about whether it was for steam gift copy or if they were trying to pull a dodgy trade with a cd-key (that they probably never had in the first place.) I immediately knew it was going to be a scam due to steam giving me a message as I entered the trade saying he has previously been reported for scamming and that I should be cautious when trading him They kept pasting fake game keys and requesting that I accept their trades, I declined, used the in-trade reporting system, reported them via their steam profile, deleted them and now here I am writing a steamREP+ report. I know I wasn't successfully scammed, but considering I was picked at random from the steam market, there is a danger this person and others like them will target other people using steam market to sell their items, so I considered it to be more than necessary that I report this attempt.
