Last week (March, 15th, 2021) I was scammed when selling a knife. The buyer, user name

..., did not pay the negotiated price, but took the knife into his equipment. I lost 1030 EUR.

Have any of you had similar scam experiences?

The scammer uses different usernames on Steam / CS GO / Discord:

He proceeds like this:
1. contact via Steam Chat
2. switch to Discord (to speak)
3. he shows a PayPal account with lots of money on it.
4. parallel to the handing over of the knife (the item) - he asks to make a PayPal request to the account shown.
5. the PayPal request is not answered - no payment will be made
6. immediately after handing over the item, the scammer blocks the communication (unfriend)

Steamrep resfuses to help because we switched to Discord and they say that it goes out of their "Territory".
