    What happened? Description:
    He basically told me to add him to trade.

    I added him and then he sent me a fake link to trade my items (he was about to scam me).​

    I never reported this kind of fraud because I always thought people would report them for me. But this is my limit, I always receive messages from scammers like this trying to scam innocent people (some of them literally use the same message I pasted into the chat log box.​

    You can report the user to Valve instead
    In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
