Description: He was on my friends list and I wanted to trade him a soldier hat painted lime, he put up a Strange Deadringer for it but would constantly pull it in and out of the trade, we kept saying he would be right back and he will be gone for a few minutes. When he came back I have already readyed up for the trade and clicked "trade" before I could notice that he had changed the Strange Deadringer to a unique one. So i looked in his backpack and saw that he has his Strange deadringer and my soldier hat. He had quick switched the strange deadringer for the unique one.

Is that what you are talking about?

People (like me) cannot view your Inventory History, only you can. Take a picture of it when you traded with him.
